iTunes can be pretty restrictive - it doesn't allow you to share your collection with others and you pretty much have to keep your music collection on your pc or it may get wiped from your device next time you sync it. CopyTrans Manager (this is the free part of the siftware) allows you to move your files around where ever you are without iTunes. |

Great little movie converter. I have used this for my ipod touch. It converts your movie files to a format most suited for your device. I thought this was only for the ipod, but it seems that support many portable devices as well as consoles. The interface isn't great, and it can take a few seconds to realize what you've got to do next, but it converts effortlessly. |

CDBurnerXP is a fantastic CD/VCD/DVD/BluRay Burning software. It is very easy to use and burns data, audio, ISO and DVD Movice discs.
Although there is XP in the title, the software works in Vista too. |

I haven't used this much, but it is very handy for burning BIN & CUE files. I use CDBurnerXP (which doesn't deal with BIN and CUE, but does convert to ISO). |

I've been using VLC for years. It jusy seems to play pretty much anything. Recently I have moved over to KMPLayer which offers a richer interface with a lot more control, but VLC is definately worth having on your pc to play that odd format that crops up. |

I love this media player! This software is create in Korea, and the site and download is from the forum pages. This fantastic player seems to play absolutely any media file - including .flv, .rm, .mov, .avi, .mpg, .mp4, .ogg, .wav, .mp3, .wma, .wmv to name a handful! Small on system resources and a sleek interface - this really is the only media player you need on your pc. |
