Information	If you're tired of the every increasing size of the Adobe Reader software, which is getting very fat, then you should try Foxit Reader. It is a small PDF reader, which works quickly and easily and includes some features not available on Adobe (formerly Acrobat Reader).

Information	Open office is a full office suite and a free alternative to Microsoft Office. It includes Writer (alternative to Word), Calc (alternative to excel), Impress (alternative to PowerPoint), Draw (a drawing and artwork package) and Base (a database creation and editing tool - similar to Access). It is currently on version 3 and has been in operation for 20 years. 100's of people contribute to this free project, with regular updates. It opens all Microsoft Office file types, including those found in the latest version and is able to save documents in those formats or Open Offices own formats.
Ade's Comments:	This is a fantastic piece of free software. An excellent alternative to the very expensive Microsoft Office. It's a big download, but then it offers a lot of functionality. Download it and install it on as many pc's as you want!
